SEMH Provision

We are excited to announce that our Resource Provision has been open and running successfully since January 2016 and a second provision has opened in September 2024.  The Acorn and Sapling children have their own classrooms and have safe relationships with the staff members. The designated teaching spaces with seven pupils in each class have been designed to meet the needs of our pupils, to ensure that they feel comfortable and safe in their environment.

Our classrooms are made up of one main teaching space, a second smaller teaching space, two break-out spaces and our own play yard.  We can deliver a personalised curriculum, specialist interventions and support children to develop their self-regulation and resilience.  We acknowledge that at different times, social and emotional factors can impact on our pupils' learning potential. The interventions that we can provide through Therapeutic Inclusion for individuals and small groups can really unlock a child's potential.

Miss Bowers and Mr Corteen (Headteacher) are responsible for driving Acorn and Sapling class forward, focusing on the children feeling safe, secure and very much part of the Broad Oak community.
